Steven C. Robertson is a professional photographer who travels internationally for assignments, but calls Seattle his home. He has been a photographer most of his life, but with the advent of digital technology, his passion for the art has increased significantly.

Mr. Robertson is one passionate traveler. He was born in Wiesbaden, Germany while his father was stationed at Rheinmain U.S. Air Force Base.

Because of his father being in the military, he moved around a lot as a kid and was even in more schools than grades up till eighth grade. The positive side of this experience was that he obtained a desire for travel and learning new cultures and experiencing new things. Thus, he became inspired to see the world.

After a very successful career in Information Technology, Steve started freelancing in travel photography, where he specialized in Asia. Visit his travel stock site to see some of those images. He then decided to take his photography to the next level by pursuing his passion more deligently. As a result, he applied for and was accepted at one of the top photography schools in the country - Hallmark Institute of Photography.

Steve is a hard worker and takes great pride in his artistic work, but still knows how to have fun on the job. He is very easy going and has a relaxed demeaner which allows him to relate well with people of all types and backgrounds.

Steve's background in Information Technology provides him with all the necessary tools in this digital age to produce a very high quality image.

He continues to learn and grow as a professional and takes his inspiration from music, movies, and books to expand his creative thinking.

Education

Education

Georgia Tech

I really enjoyed going to college in Atlanta, otherwise known as "Hot 'lanta". Atlanta had a lot to offer including a nice skyline with the Peachtree Plaza, the Varsity, and the Coca-Cola Building. At Georgia Tech, I was also  in the marching band, where I played 1st trumpet. I still go back to homecoming periodically and play with the alumni band.

Pacific Lutheran University

At PLU, I took night classes while working a full-time job during the day. Every day I would drive from Totem Lake in the north to Tacoma in the south to further my education.

U.C. Berkeley

Here I also took late night online classes while working full-time at a dot-com startup company in Menlo Park, CA while commenting from Seattle, WA.

Hallmark Institute of Photography

Here I went through a very intensive boot-camp training program to learn all aspects of professional photography including lighting, posing, editing, and business. This involved all types of portraiture work including individuals, children, and weddings as well as commercial product photography and advertising.
